Senator Karen Sorensen Joins Independent Senators Group
OTTAWA, October 7, 2021 – Senator Karen Sorensen (AB) announced today that she will be joining the Independent Senators Group (ISG).

Within the Senate, I value the quality of non-partisanship and the ongoing modernization of the Upper Chamber. I look forward to contributing to the important work of the Senate as a member of the Independent Senators Group.” - Senator Karen Sorensen on joining the ISG.

Senator Sorensen was nominated to the Senate on July 29, 2021, through the Independent Advisory Board for Senate Appointments. Her addition to the Independent Senators Group brings the total membership to 43.
