OTTAWA, May 2, 2024 – Quebec Senator Manuelle Oudar announced today her membership to the Independent Senators Group (ISG). With a distinguished career spanning three decades, Ms. Oudar has served as a highly regarded mediator and dedicated public servant. Her work has significantly improved labour standards and legislation within Quebec. Named one of the 100 Most Influential Women in Canada by the Women’s Executive Network, Senator Oudar has also received numerous accolades for her professional excellence, including the Grand diplômé award in 2024 from the Université Laval and the 2023 Prix Femmes de mérite by the Montréal Women’s Y Foundation.

Senator Oudar was nominated to the Senate on February 13, 2024, through the Independent Advisory Board for Senate Appointments. Her addition to the Independent Senators Group brings the total membership to 42.
