OTTAWA, October 16, 2024 – New Brunswick Senator Victor Boudreau announced today he is joining the Independent Senators Group (ISG). Senator Boudreau is renowned for his leadership and for a distinguished career spanning three decades in service of the citizens of New Brunswick. As a member of the Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, he managed various important portfolios, namely in his roles as Minister of Finance and Minister of Health. In 2015, Senator Boudreau was awarded the Louis-J.-Robichaud Medal in acknowledgement of his dedication to the people and communities of New Brunswick. Having previously worked with municipal, provincial and federal governments, as well as with various community organizations, Senator Boudreau looks forward to contribute to the Senate’s important work.

Senator Victor Boudreau was nominated to the Senate on June 28th, 2024, through the Independent Advisory Board for Senate Appointments. His addition to the Independent Senators Group brings the total membership to 42.
